Tom Fexas Yacht Design is one of the foremost yacht design offices in the world continuously in business since 1966. In 1977, the office was moved from Mystic, Connecticut to Stuart, Florida where it grew from a one-man operation to the staff of seven designers. Tom Fexas Yacht Design, Inc. prides itself on its technical expertise and innovation. Four of our staff are degreed Engineers or Naval Architects.

We estimate there are presently approximately 1000 vessels to our designs in service throughout the world ranging from 17 foot launches to 150 foot motor yachts. Most designs are over 50 feet. Over the years, we have worked with some of the best boat and yacht builders in the world including Palmer Johnson, Cheoy Lee, American Marine, Zodiac, Mikelson Yachts, Burger, Derecktor, Royal Denship and Knight and Carver.

Tom Fexas was the President of Tom Fexas Yacht Design, Inc. since 1966.

Bachelor of Marine Engineering from State University of New York Maritime college and graduate of Westlawn Institute of Yacht Design. U.S. Coast Guard 3rd.

He was member of National Association of Marine Surveyors. Member of Board of Directors of Westlawn Institute of Yacht Design. Power Yacht consultant for American Bureau of Shipping.

Monthly columnist for Power & Motor Yacht magazine from 1985 to 2003, and columnist for Sea Magazine from 2003 until his last days.

Numerous articles published in such publications as Yachting, Power and Motor Yacht, Souther Boating and Professional Boatbuilder magazines.

Tom Fexas passed away in November 29th, 2006.
